Jordan B. Fischer
Jordan Fischer is the Founder and Executive Director of Plays 2 Empower, a youth-led civic engagement organization focused on advancing leadership, advocacy, and community impact among young people. Since founding the organization in 2021, she has led the development of programming across academic, wellness, artistic, and advocacy pathways, reaching over 300 students and mobilizing more than 500 service hours through community-based initiatives. She has built over 10 strategic partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and civic leaders, and has organized programs ranging from voter engagement efforts to arts-based advocacy and youth-led policy discussions.
In addition to her work with Plays 2 Empower, Jordan serves as a Policy Director for the Black Youth Empowerment Network, where she leads national advocacy initiatives focused on education equity, civic engagement, and economic opportunity. She also serves as a Board Member of No C’s Please, Inc., an education-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting minority students in achieving academic and professional success.
Jordan is currently a first-year Honors Political Science major at Spelman College, where she double minors in Theatre & Performance and Entrepreneurship & Innovation. A Morgan Stanley HBCU Scholar and Ethel Waddell Githii Honors Scholar, her academic and professional work sits at the intersection of policy, storytelling, and social impact.
Her background also includes legal and public sector experience, having served as a Legal Intern at Bynum & Jenkins Law Firm and as a Fellow with the Minority Law & Research Institute, where she conducted legal research, drafted case materials, and presented on African American legal history. She has contributed to public policy efforts as a Youth Advisor to the Virginia Department of Health and as a member of the Prince William County Human Rights Student Leadership Council, advocating for youth perspectives in health and equity initiatives.
Jordan’s leadership has been recognized through numerous honors, including being named a Prince William Living Extraordinary Teen, a National NAACP ACT-SO winner in playwriting, and a recipient of multiple scholarships for academic excellence, civic leadership, and community impact.
Through her work, Jordan is committed to scaling Plays 2 Empower nationally while building a career centered on advocacy, entrepreneurship, and empowering underrepresented communities.
